She was predeceased by: her son Josh Levitt; and her brother John Gumperz. She is survived by: her son Dan (Ariadne); her husband Dave; her grandchildren, Zoe and Eli; her niece Jenny Gumperz (Carol Glaser); her nephew Andrew Gumperz (Liz); her great-nephew Josh; her great-niece Emily; and her cousin Dan Rahimi (Julie Comay).

Contributions in her memory may be made to Food for Free, (foodforfree.org) a Cambridge-based organization that rescues unused food from institutions and provides it to families and children in need in Cambridge and the Boston area.
