It is with sadness that the passing of Lorraine DeAmato (Cambridge, Massachusetts) is shared. Lorraine, born on December 28, 1951, passed away on October 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Lorraine will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Lorraine by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Lorraine is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Lorraine’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph DeAmato and Elena DeAmato (Perracchi). She is survived by: her siblings, Norbert DeAmato (Laura) of Lexington, Susan DeAmato (Rob Stiegman) of Canton, Massachusetts and Maria Estey of Somerville, Massachusetts.; and her unwavering Boston. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George L. Doherty Funeral Service, Inc. (855 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144). A procession will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (2270 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02140).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine's name to the Cancer Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) where she received care and treatment https://bidmc.org. Checks should be made payable to BIDMC and include "Inpatient HemOnc Fund" in the memo line (or on a separate note enclosed with the donation).
