He is survived by: his mother Ann Kirby (Pfohl); his wife Kyoko Ono; his son Alex; his daughter-in-law Gabby; his daughters, Chiaki, Megumi, Sachiko and Miyuki; his pets, Maverick and Haku; and his siblings, William Jr. (Anne), Brian (Mona), Mathis Powelson (Stephen), Paula (Peter McWhinnie) and Julia Vien (George). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
