He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis L. O'Brien of Neponset and Mary Elizabeth O'Brien (Walsh) of Neponset; and his sister Rosemary Coffey (late William Coffey) of Braintree. He is survived by: his wife Maureen O'Brien (Higgins); his children, Dyanne Frances O'Brien (Patrick) of Chestnut Hill, Joanne Marie "Jody" McEachern (Joseph) of Dorchester, Mary Elizabeth "Beth" O'Brien of Dorchester and Kristin Anne O'Brien (Michael Cromp) of Boston; his godchildren, Lauren Ward (John) of Pembroke and Ted Coffey (Mary Alice Walsh) of Holbrook; his grandchildren, Patrick Angelo, Patrick Joseph, Emily, Caroline, Amanda, Jake, Brenna, Paige, Lily, Brooke, Aidan, Martin and Neil; his great grandchild Kehlani Alicia Cosme; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Higgins (Susan) of Milton, Susan Hagerty (Jim) of Norfolk, Patricia Cunningham (Dennis Murray) of Milton and Diane Higgins (Peter Relick) of Milton. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
