He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Marie (Scanlon); and his siblings, Marie Klotz, Irene McCarthy and James McCarthy. He is survived by: his children, John J. McCarthy III (Katherine), Attleboro and Suzanne M. Appleton (Andrew) of Vernon, CT.; and his close friend Nancy Souther of Milton. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
