We announce the death of Richard Sargon Marcus (Canton, Massachusetts), who passed away on July 25, 2026, at the age of 92. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He is survived by: his wife Elsa; his grandson Scott Marcus; his great grandchildren, Rio and Adriana; his grandson Dr. John Marcus (Anne Marie); his great grandchildren, Livvy and Addy; his granddaughter Tammy Jobe; his great grandchildren, Jessica Campbell (Justin), Ryland and Bennett; and his brother David.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Union of Concerned Scientists or a peace-promoting charity of your choice may be made in his honor.
