He was predeceased by : his parents, John Santos of Cape Verde and Rosamond V. Silva (Monteiro) of Boston, MA.; his wife Julia A. Santos (Almeida); and his siblings, Margaret Monteiro, Mitchell (Barbara Santos), Mary Almeida (Santos) and Jerome Santos (Ethel "Peggy").

He is survived by : his children, Julia Peabody (Almeida) and Carl L. Santos, Jr. (Janice); his grandchildren, Richard Pretti (Stacey), Richard Almeida (Jennifer Brady), Ryan Almeida (Melissa), Robin Almeida (William Andrews) and Crystal Santos-Steiblin (John Steiblin); his great grandchildren, Alexandria, Elizabeth, Ryan Jr., Rachel, Ethan, Kai, Andrew, Jayden and Jack; his great great grandchildren, Mason, Lennyx and LJ; his brother Darrell Silva (Joan); and his siblings-in-law, Lydia Cross (late Arthur) and George Andrade (late Vicincia). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Carver Fire Association.
