He was predeceased by : his siblings, Rita Hanlon, Catherine Brophy and Leo Hanlon; and his parents, Thomas P. and Mary A. Hanlon (Whalen).

He is survived by : his spouse Gail Hanlon (Boudreau); his children, Brian Hanlon of Hadley, MA, Paul Hanlon of Plymouth, MA, Jeffrey Hanlon of Pacifica, CA, Joshua Hanlon of Plymouth, MA and Michele McHugh of Stafford, VA.; and his siblings, William Hanlon of Nova Scotia, David Hanlon, Lawrence Hanlon of Ontario, Hubert Hanlon of Ontario and Marion Joyce of Medford, MA. He is also survived by his fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
