It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Elizabeth McLachlan of Centerville, Massachusetts, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 13, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her former life partner Eugene P. Cimini; her parents, Richard McLachlan and Elizabeth Grace McLachlan (Thompson); and her sister Martha Nance McLachlan. She is survived by : her husband A. William Douglas; her close friend Patricia Hess; her children, Meghan Douglas of Centerville, MA and William Matthew Douglas of Treasure Island, FL; her siblings, Richard McLachlan of Grove City, PA and Marilyn Barney of Dunn, NC; and her granddaughter Vaughn Elizabeth Douglas-Hellyer.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home (160 W Main St, Hyannis, MA 02601). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
