In loving memory of Imelda Fitzgerald of Charlestown, Massachusetts, who departed this world on July 16, 2025 at the age of 95. Imelda leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Ducey and Mary Ducey (Hickey); her husband Joseph Fitzgerald; her son Stephen Applegate; and her siblings, Helen Reilly, Margaret "Peg" Canney, Kay Lynch, May Sullivan, Dottie Monaco, Ducey Jr. and Rev. William Ducey.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Applegate, Kathy Rogers (John), Ellen Fiore (John), Michael Applegate (Janet), Theresa Applegate-Foschio (John), Diane Applegate and Denise Applegate; and her stepchildren, Ann Seitsinger, Irene McHugh and Joseph Fitzgerald.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carr Funeral Home (220 Bunker Hill St, Charlestown, MA 02129). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Church (313 Bunker Hill St, Boston, MA 02129).
