With sadness, we share the passing of Michael J. Cain of Charlestown, Massachusetts. Michael, born on October 25, 1964, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Cain and Eleanor M. Cain (Ahearn); his son Michael Cain II; and his brothers, Kevin and Jimmy Cain.
He is survived by: his children, Melanie Cain, Sheena Centola, Jacob Pratt and Jackie Pratt; his grandchildren, Colin, Anaya, Jason, Michaelyn and Aaliyah Pratt; and his significant other Lisa Centola. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carr Funeral Home (220 Bunker Hill St, Charlestown, MA 02129). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Church (313 Bunker Hill St, Boston, MA 02129). A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (175 Broadway, Malden, MA 02148).
