He is survived by: his children, Christos of Charlton, Vasilios Markopoulos of Charlton, Maria Markopoulos of Charlton and Magdalini Markopoulos of Monson; his parents, Christos Markopoulos and Maria Markopoulos (Papatheodorou) of Foloi, Greece; and his siblings, Father Andrew Markopoulos (Presbytera Angeliki Markopoulos) of Suffolk, VA, Nicholas Markopoulos (Olga) of East Brookfield, Dimitra Markopoulos (Nathaniel Robinson) of Beaufort, SC and Angeliki Markopoulos (Vaggelis Kafandaris) of Athens. He is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home (592 Park Ave, Worcester, MA 01603). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral (102 Russell St, Worcester, MA 01609).
