She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar "Whitey" Rutstein; her parents, Jacob Gorman and Katie Gorman; her sibling Sidney Gorman (late Rita); and her former husband Mathew Smokler.

She is survived by: her children, Marjorie Harris (Howard), Bryna Smokler Goldstein (Steven), Suzanne Rutstein and Paula Smokler Graham (James). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
