John K. Schindler Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John K. Schindler of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 24, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John K. Schindler to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Dr. John Andrew Schindler; his wife Barbara (Bernardi); his mother Bessie Mae Schindler; his parents-in-law, Alfred and Mary Bernardi; his sister Bessie Rae Schindler McCormack; his brother-in-law Kenneth Getty; and his nephew David Getty.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Schindler Grant (Douglas) of Edinburgh, Dietrich Schindler of Roxbury, MA and Kendra Schindler Sheridan (Robert) of Milton, MA; his grandchildren, Catriona Grant and Mason Sheridan; his sister-in-law Dorothy Getty of Wilmington, MA; his nephews, Mark Getty (Debra) of Pelham, NH and Lubelia Getty of Woburn, MA; and his great-nieces, Arianna Zielinski, Angela Getty and Sienna Getty. He is also survived by many friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home (24 Worthen St, Chelmsford, MA 01824). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Parish (25 North Rd, Chelmsford, MA 01824). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (96 Riverneck Rd, Chelmsford, MA 01824).
