Maureen Evans Ahern Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maureen Evans Ahern of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, born in Somerville, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Murtagh McGrath and Mary McGrath (Shea); her husband Donald Ahern; and her siblings, Mort "Buz" McGrath (Jean), Nuala Dacy (Bob), Carolyn Laughlin and Gerald McGrath.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Ahern of Vero Beach, Florida, Kerry White (late John) of Townsend and Erin Ahern of Chelmsford; her siblings-in-law, Marilyn Ahern and Arthur "Buddy" Ahern; and her daughter-in-law Terrie Ahern (Burbine). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureen's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
