She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert E. Hamilton and Yvonne M. Hamilton (Royland); her husband Bertrand "Red" MacDonald; her son Robert; and her siblings, David, Leo, Allan, Paul, Robert Jr. and Eileen.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth A. Mullen (Joseph) of Lowell and David A. MacDonald of Lowell; her sister Geraldine E. Slater of Winchester; her grandchildren, Felicity Chaban (Roman), David MacDonald (Vanessa), Douglas MacDonald (Jennifer) and Kristin MacDonald; and her great grandchildren, Evan, Anya, Leo, Abigail, Norah and Emma.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home (24 Worthen St, Chelmsford, MA 01824). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Shirley's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) or a veterans' charity of your choice.
