He was predeceased by: his parents, Ciriaco Penta and Maria (Pizzano); his wife Antonietta (LoPriore); and his brothers, Ralph Penta (Lina) and Peter Penta (late Connie).
He is survived by: his children, Maria Puleo (John), Rita O'Leary (David Sweet) of Wakefield, Linda Penta of Malden, Charles Penta (Anneta) of Melrose and Michael Penta Jr. of Everett; and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Anthony Puleo, Megan O'Leary, Antonia Correale (Ryan), Alexandra, Anastasia, Gianna, Sofia and Sabrina Penta. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
