Raymond T. Gaskalka Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 20, 2025, at the age of 85, Raymond T. Gaskalka of Cheshire, Massachusetts, born in Adams, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Raymond leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Raymond may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gaskalka and Vera Gaskalka (Ziemba); his wife Shirley A. Mayotte of Adams, MA.; and his sister Barbara MacEwan. He is survived by: his children, Mark Gaskalka (Sherri Svedine-Gaskalka) of Westfield and Holly Doktor (Christopher) of Valhermoso Springs, AL; his sister Teresa Allen of Leverett, MA; his grandson Joseph Doktor of Valhermoso Springs, AL; and his close friend Peter Barrows of Adams, MA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
