She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd J. LaPlante and Evelyn F. LaPlante (Golba); and her brother Roland LaPlante. She is survived by: her husband John Rhodes; her sons, Jason A. Rhodes of Uxbridge and Justin A. Rhodes (Ashley) of Chicopee; her grandchildren, Oliver, Tobias and Joy; her siblings, Floyd LaPlante (Linda) of Chicopee, Roy LaPlante of Chicopee, Michael LaPlante (Annie) of Chicopee, Glenn LaPlante (Sue) of Chicopee and Theresa Rodrigues of Granby, CT; and her sister-in-law Cheryl Wehr of Chicopee. She is also survived by nephews and nieces, and her cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (13 Dale St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (13 Dale St, Chicopee, MA 01020).
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
