She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick J. Burke and Esther H. Burke (Menard); and her husband Kenneth R. Lapierre. She is survived by: her children, Karen D. Jalbert (Daniel) of Westfield, Jennifer A. LeMay of Chicopee and Jason P. Lapierre (Noel) of Little River, SC; her grandchildren, Andrew Jalbert (Vera), Kathryn "Katie" Jalbert (Jonathan Rosales Munoz), Zachary LeMay, Justin Guzman (Sadie Lynn Fitzsimmons), Alexander Lapierre (Ryan), Noah Lapierre (Danielle), Makayla Lapierre (Dakota Faulk) and Logan Lapierre; and her great grandchildren, Mila Jalbert and Lilah Faulk. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Anne Church (30 College St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery (1390 Main St, Agawam, MA 01001).
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to Joanne's Helping Hands Scholarship, c/o Holyoke Community College Foundations Office, 303 Homestead Avenue, Holyoke, MA 01040.
