She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Trela and Stefania Trela (Bozak); her husband Edmund "Big Ed" Krokov; her daughter Karen Stopa of Chicopee; and her siblings, Edward Trela (Josephine) of Chicopee and Helen Piubeni (Charlie Piubeni) of Springfield.
She is survived by: her sister Eleanor Pelligrino of Springfield; her children, Linda Craven (James Craven) of Plympton, Leslie Krokov (Rhoda Krokov) of West Springfield and Valerie Krokov of Longmeadow; her grandchildren, Eric Craven, Daryll Sverrisson (Craven), Lisa Sebastyn (Stopa), Michael Stopa, Christine Krokov, Matthew Krokov, Ciara Dumont-Reynolds (Krokov) and Savannah Baran; her great grandchildren, David St. Russell, Courtney Craven, Dean Craven, Vinnie Guiel, Jack Sebastyn, Scarlett Sebastyn, Alex Sverrisson, Evalyn Sverrisson, Ryan Krokov, Avery Krokov, Nick Krokov, Austin Dumont and Michael Stopa Jr.; and her great great grandchildren, Braxton and Barrett Guiel.
Genevieve had many beloved pets in her long life, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dakin Animal Hospital, 171 Union St. Springfield, MA 01105 or Fenton River Veterinary Hospital 73 W Stafford Rd, Stafford Springs, Connecticut in memory of Genevieve's kind and generous heart.
