It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genevieve A. (Roesch) Mercier (Chicopee, Massachusetts), who passed away on December 12, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Roesch and Amelia Roesch (Beck); her husband Armand; and her brothers, Edward (Agnes), Theodore (Lillian) and Irvin.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Diane Mercier of Dawsonville, GA; her granddaughter Julieanne Foint (Aaron); her great grandchildren, George and Anna; her granddaughter Jennifer Carter; her great grandchildren, Sterling and Sullivan; her granddaughter Amy Entwistle (Parker); her great grandchild Deveraux; her sister-in-law Lorraine Roesch; and her caregiver Genevieve. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a cadre of friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (13 Dale St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (13 Dale St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sainte Rose de Lima Church (594 Grattan St, Chicopee, MA 01020).
