Gladys M. Stokowski Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gladys M. Stokowski of Chicopee, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 4, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kowal and Mary Kowal (Kot); her husband Benedict Stokowski; her son Thomas Stokowski; and her siblings, Albina Chmura (Walter), Max Kowal (Jenny), Frederick Kowal (Stella), Edward Kowal (Mary), Adelle Gladys (Michael), Stanley Kowal (Alice) and Jane Pasterczyk (Michael).
She is survived by: her daughters, MaryJane Tobin (Jim) and Teresa Picard (David); her daughter-in-law Patricia McGuinness; and her grandchildren, Rebecca, Melissa, Nathan, Emily, Colleen, Kara and Alex. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 10:45 AM at the Kozikowski Funeral Home (565 Front St, Chicopee, MA 01013). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stanislaus Basilica (566 Front St, Chicopee, MA 01013).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Stanislaus Basilica, Harmony House of Chicopee, or Dakin Humane Society.
