He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Spinks and Florence Spinks (McBride). He is survived by: his wife Annie Spinks (Brown Schreffler); his daughter Wanda (Spinks) Rupelt (John LaBarre); his grandchildren, Marcus Rupelt and Samantha Gauthier; his great grandchildren, Ciara, Ava and Leyanna; his granddaughter Amanda Colburn (Evan); his great grandchild Sophia; his daughter Darlene (Schreffler) Arel (Tom Lafountain); his granddaughter Erica Lawless (Nick); his great grandchildren, Rory, Landon and Wyatt; his son William Schreffler (Cindy); his grandsons, Nathan and Jacob; and his sister Cheryl Spinks.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Homes (61 Grape St, Chicopee, MA 01013). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Lupa Zoo, Ludlow, Ma. where John's beloved birds, Buddy and Bandit, reside.
