Loraine E. (Lucier) Pothier Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loraine E. (Lucier) Pothier of Chicopee, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Lucier and Georgianna Lucier (Lacoste); her husband Leo F. Pothier; and her siblings, Alexander, Roland, Paul, Normand, Raymond, Florence and Jean.
She is survived by: her children, Michele Laskey (Patrick) of South Hadley, Ruth LaBonte (Robert) of Suffield, CT and David Pothier (Susan) of Stafford Springs, CT; her grandchildren, Sarah, Elizabeth, Robbie, David and Miranda; her great grandchildren, William, Brady, Brooke, Leo, Mikey and Jackson; her brother Louis Lucier of California; and her siblings-in-law, George Pothier of New York and Doris Methe of West Springfield. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home Parking Lot and Main Entrance Are (20 Lafayette St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Sainte Rose de Lima Church (594 Grattan St, Chicopee, MA 01020).
Her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to Shriners Hospital for Children (Please specify Springfield) or to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
