She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus R. Garcia and Renee Garcia (Iturralde); her husband Raoul O. Hamel; and her sister Yamara Garcia. She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth R. Hamel (Carrie) of Ludlow and Jeffrey T. Hamel (Springfield); her granddaughters, Brielle and Alivia Hamel; her brothers, Jesus Garcia (Kimberly) of New Iberia, LA and Ricardo Garcia (Margit) of Germany; her stepmother Patricia Garcia of Westfield; and her sister-in-law Shirley Reopel. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047.
