It is with sadness that the passing of Richard G. Methot (Chicopee, Massachusetts) is shared. Richard, born on August 22, 1934 in South Hadley Falls, Massachusetts, passed away on August 20, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Methot and Cora Methot (Capistrant); his pet Charlie Brown; his wife Jacqueline "Jackie" Methot (Litty); his son Michael R. Methot; his son-in-law Paul Rodgers; and his siblings, Donald Methot (Boyne "Bunnie" Methot) and Gloria "Gooey" Methot.
He is survived by: his children, Edward R. Methot of Highland, CA, Lori-Jo Rodgers of San Dimas, CA and Samantha A. Methot (Scott Curran) of Holyoke, MA; his grandchildren, Amanda Kelley of San Bernardino, CA, Jesse Methot of San Diego, CA, Daniel Methot of Michigan, Patrick Methot of Oregon, Adam Woldenga of Lake Elsinore, CA, Bethany Lopez of Long Beach, CA, Eliza and Teagan Curran of Holyoke, MA.; and his friend Chris Menard of Chicopee. He is also survived by nieces, cousins, great nieces, great nephew.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Funeral Chapels (506 Britton St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 9:00 AM. A prayer was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels (506 Britton St, Chicopee, MA 01020).
