He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Murray and Rosanna Murray (Grenier); and his siblings, Raymond Murray, Clara Labonte, Joseph Murray, Gertrude Boulais, Ruth Franceschina, Robert Murray, Paul Murray and Doris Lafleur.
He is survived by: his wife Alida R. "Lee" Murray (Labonte); his children, Richard F. "Rick" Murray, Jr. (Maureen) of East Longmeadow and Joanne R. LeDoux of Mount Pleasant, SC; his grandchildren, Cooper Joseph Murray, Robert P. Goff (Lillia Erickson), Amy L. Goff, Nicholas J. Lafromboise (Chelsea), Tyler J. Lafromboise (Allyson) and Koehler; his great grandchildren, Bennett Goff, Alida and Mateo Martinez; his siblings, Mildred Scarpa of Agawam, William Murray of Holyoke, Jean Murray of Holyoke and John Murray of Connecticut; and his niece Belinda Houldson (William) of Chicopee.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home Parking Lot and Main Entrance Are (20 Lafayette St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (13 Dale St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A prayer was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
His family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
