We are sad to announce that on February 28, 2025, at the age of 88, Rita A. (Fauteux) Geoffroy (Chicopee, Massachusetts) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver A. Fauteux and Emma J. C. Fauteux (Van Mirlo); her brother Oscar Hilbert; and her brothers-in-law, Patrick Welch, Richard Gagne and Robert Geoffroy.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur E. V. Geoffroy; her children, Marie E. Malloy (Gregory) of Windsor, CT, David A. Geoffroy (Marie) of Chicopee, Carol A. Debus (Gilbert) of Westfield and John E. Geoffroy (Glenys) of Lampeter, UK; her grandchildren, Ashley Malloy (Avery), Hayley Malloy, Lucas Malloy (Michaela), Jessica Melaas (Eric), Rita Jacque (Jonathan) and Jake Geoffroy; her great grandchildren, Liam Melaas, Gwenyth Hall and Lance Jacque; her siblings, Mia Charland of Tempe, AZ, Albert Fauteux of Monson, Fritz Hilbert of Wilbraham, Gary Fauteux (Joan) of Ware and Steven Fauteux of West Springfield; and her sisters-in-law, Priscilla Welch of Chicopee, Joan Gagne of Granby and Carolyn Geoffroy of Pullman, MI. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Saint Joan of Arc School, 587 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
