With sadness, we share the passing of Rosa Fernandes (Chicopee, Massachusetts). Rosa, born on February 4, 1941, passed away on October 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederico Bogalhas and Senhorinha Bogalhas (Barroso); and her husband Bento F. Fernandes. She is survived by: her children, Steven Fernandes (Noemi) of Chicopee, John Fernandes of Springfield and Isabel Puppolo (Angelo) of Springfield; her brothers, Manuel Bogalhas of Montreal and John Bogalhas of South Hadley; her grandchildren, Jenise, Cecilia, Bento, Julia and Olivia; and her great grandchildren, Emma, Brady, Delyla, Aniyah, Karter, Beau, Everleigh and Catherine. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home (280 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA 01013). A Mass was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (395 Chestnut St, Springfield, MA 01104). A burial was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at the Calvary Cemetery.
