Thomas leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Thomas’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Thomas will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold J. Gilbert and Helen Gilbert (Jerome); his wife Christine T. Gilbert (Zukowski); and his brother Harold Jeffrey Gilbert. He is survived by: his children, Ian T. Gilbert (Lauren) of Jacksonville, FL and Lisa Chapline of Wilbraham; and his grandchildren, Catherine, Josephine, Christopher and Joshua.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Grise Funeral Home (280 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA 01013). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
