He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Melanie O'Brien (Verdun); his wife Jane A. O'Brien (Michon); his son Thomas O'Brien Jr.; his brother James; and his great grandchild Austin.
He is survived by: his children, Michael O'Brien (Caren) of Mason, NH, Elizabeth Stebbins (Dennis) of Chicopee, Mary Prouty (Robert) of Chicopee and Veronica Uzar (Ralph) of Amherst, NH.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home (280 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA 01013). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Rose de Lima Church (600 Grattan St, Chicopee, MA 01020).
