Wilfred E. Thibodeau Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilfred E. Thibodeau of Chicopee, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred J. Thibodeau and Loretta C. Thibodeau (Lemieux); and his brothers-in-law, George Dakis and Donald Sullivan. He is survived by: his significant other Elizabeth A. "Betty" Wilk of Chicopee; his son Chad M. O'Rourke (Kara); his grandchildren, Kaela of Sunderland, MA, Mason of Sunderland, MA, Madelyn of Sunderland, MA and Jase of Sunderland, MA; his stepdaughter Melanie Wilk (James Butterworth); his stepgrandchildren, J. J. of Chicopee and Harper of Chicopee; his stepdaughter Alyson Wilk; his stepgrandchildren, Nixon of Somers, CT, Brynn of Somers, CT and Weston of Somers, CT; his stepdaughter Jessica Wilk of Springfield; his sister Pauline M. Dakis of Chicopee; his sisters-in-law, Rose Sullivan of Florida and Linda Greenwood (Ted) of Holyoke; and his close friend Ricky Laflamme (Ellen) of Blandford. He is also survived by his family members and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (13 Dale St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (13 Dale St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sainte Rose de Lima Church (594 Grattan St, Chicopee, MA 01020).
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to Sainte Rose de Lima Church, c/o 15 Chapel Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
