He was predeceased by: his father Adolphus Covington; his former wife Sandra Covington; his children, William Covington, Jr. (Michelle), David Covington, Diane Porcello (Keith) and Sharon DaSilva (Kenny); his stepdaughter Cheryl (Scott); and his brother Wayne Covington.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Covington (Mezzetti); and his siblings, Alice Coker, Liz Fouty, Robert Covington and Ann Covington. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends.
