She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna and Max; and her grandson Zachary M. Kobus. She is survived by: her husband Ronald E. Schultz of Bolton, MA.; her close friend John Garceau; her sons, Frederick J. Schultz (Kelly) of Lee, N. H., Douglas S. Schultz (Lisabeth) of Cohasset, David M. Kobus (Tammy) of Clinton and Ronald R. Schultz (Georgia); her brothers, Herbert Irregen and Karl Huber; her grandchildren, Eric J. Schultz, Scott, Ava, Heidi, Nicholas, Ali, Madeline, Amy, Ronald, Sarah and Chloe; her sister-in-law Gertrude; her siblings' children, Jurgen (Monica) and Marion (Gunter); her great-niece Sandra (Nando); and her great-nephew Daniel (Sandra). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“I knew Helga for almost 20 years….first as a patient and then as a friend. We used to talk about everything German as I had lived in Germany for three years and had many fond memories. Helga was always outgoing, friendly and caring and spoke with great love for her children. She appreciated all they did for her. I will miss her. Dicie Niggl”
