James M. Burgoyne Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James M. Burgoyne (Clinton, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret M. Burgoyne (Chamberlain); and his mother Natalie A. Burgoyne (Bailey). He is survived by: his children, James M. Burgoyne, Jr., Daniel E. Burgoyne, Christopher J. Burgoyne (Katilyn) and Elizabeth A. Burgoyne; his grandchildren, Hazel and Lochlan Burgoyne; his siblings, Frederick J. Burgoyne (Dorothea Germain), Philip M. Burgoyne (Carol) and Joanne Brodmerkle (Daniel); his friend Bob Garofoli; and his father Maurice J. Burgoyne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.

In 2015, he was selected as a Life Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, which promotes access to legal services in the Commonwealth.
