The passing of Peter W. Gallaudet (Clinton, Massachusetts), born in Washington, District of Columbia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 12, 2026 at the age of 47. Though Peter may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Peter touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his great-great-grandparents, Edward Miner Gallaudet and Gallaudet University; his father Peter Gallaudet; his stepmother Anne Gallaudet of Scarborough, Maine; his sister Mary Langdon Hamilton of Swampscott, Massachusetts; his stepsisters, Victoria Hougham of Silver Spring and Aislinn White of Cape Elizabeth; and his mother Inger Shaw. He was also cherished by 8 nieces and nephews.
