He was predeceased by: his brothers, William O'Connell and James O'Connell; and his parents, Daniel P. O'Connell and Margaret O'Connell (Comaskey). He is survived by: his wife Diane O'Connell (Hardy); his daughters, Megan O'Connell and Jessica O'Connell; his granddaughters, Scarlett and Margaret; his siblings, Daniel O'Connell (Lise), Kathleen MacElhiney (Gary), Sean O'Connell (Cheryl), Paul O'Connell, Wendy, Elizabeth Gibson and Allen; his sister-in-law Cynthia O'Connell; and his mother-in-law Lorraine Hardy. He is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, generations of nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home (176 Water St, Clinton, MA 01510).
