She was predeceased by: her son Patrick E. Murphy; her sister-in-law Suzanne Murphy; and her parents, Fridolf and Ruth Johnson (Westlund). She is survived by: her husband Roger E. Murphy; her children, Shawn P. Murphy (Christine) and Colleen Dunne (John); her daughter-in-law Laura Murphy; her grandchildren, Connor Murphy (Ariella), Evan Murphy, McKayla Murphy (Nathan Grimes), Sheriden Murphy, Gavin Murphy, Jamieson Dunne and Nolan Dunne; her great grandchildren, Shawn Patrick Grimes and Beau Ross Phillips; and her brother Bruce Johnson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
