James Rutledge Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2025, at the age of 72, James Rutledge (Cohasset, Massachusetts), born in Newark, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Rutledge and Helen Rutledge; and his brothers, Richard, Alexander and Michael Rutledge.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen McDermott Rutledge; his daughters, Janet Rutledge Giesen (Brian) and Christine Rutledge Smith (Mark); his grandsons, Jack and Timothy Giesen; and his siblings, Mary Rutledge Page and Thomas Rutledge. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and their children.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home (382 First Parish Rd, Scituate, MA 02066). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (10 Summer St, Cohasset, MA 02025).
