It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Dow Muncey of Cohasset, Massachusetts, born in Everett, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 25, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Eleanor Muncey (Salvi) and Francis N. Muncey; his son Richard D. "Chip" Muncey; his wife Mary K. Muncey (Bacigalupo) of Cohasset; and his children, Francis N. Muncey of Abington, Elizabeth C. Mannion (Eric Young) of Holbrook, Liam and Ciaran Mannion. He was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews as well as other family members.

“When I arrived in Cohasset in 1981, John and Mary Muncey were among many who welcomed me and our young family extending their true friendship to us. John and Mary always made my family feel a true part of our new community. I extend my deepest sympathy to their family and remember dearly feeling the magic of an ordinary day when they greeted us.
