Charles leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Charles’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Charles will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Herzig and Ruth Herzig (Palmer). He is survived by: his wife Karen Herzig (Coombs); his son Eric C Herzig (Stephanie); his grandsons, Cooper, Brody and Owen; his sister Tammy Wheeler (Lee); and his brother-in-law Rusty Coombs (Kim). He is also survived by his mother in law, his niece and nephew and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the West Branch Cemetery (123 Foundry Village Rd, Colrain, MA 01340).
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation or The American Heart Association.
