He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Purington and Lillian Purington (Joy); and his brother Tim. He is survived by: his wife Jana (Gallup); his children, Ellen of Ashfield, MA and Lou of Brooklyn, NY.; his siblings, Donna MacLeay (Doug) of Colrain, Joan Powell of Shelburne Falls and Lee Purington of Fairbanks, AK; his aunt Peggy Phelan of Dallas, OR; and his uncle Richard Purington of Homer, AK. He is also survived by cousins and many nieces and nephews.
