She was predeceased by : her husband James Phelps; her daughter Janet Phelps Heywood; her parents, Daniel Hughes and Marion Macdonald Hughes; and her siblings, Lawrence Hughes, Celeste Miller (George) and Cathy Armstrong (William).
She is survived by : her daughter Jennifer Phelps York of Great Falls, VA; her sons-in-law, Charles York of Great Falls, VA and John Heywood of Washington, DC; and her grandchildren, Christina, Jessica, Anika and Dominic. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
