He was predeceased by : his parents, Pauline W. Crowell (Thomas Irving Crowell, Jr.) and NJ; his wife Helen Gibbs Bennett; his brothers, James and Thomas; and his grandson James.

He is survived by : his children, John (Theresa) of Kalamazoo, MI, Elizabeth (Cheryl Flynn) of Concord and Paul (Alexandra Stillman) of Falcon Heights, MN; his grandchildren, Isabel and Matthew; and his brother Kenneth L. Crowell.
