She is survived by: her stepfather Samuel Monteiro; her husband James Veasley of Cotuit; her children, Bryant Murphy, Lisa Reed, Kevin Murphy and Vernesha Simpson; and her siblings, Bonnie Monteiro, Dede Bashir and LuVerne Lilly. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
