With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert J Franey of Cotuit, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Franey and Eileen Franey (McCarthy); his brother James Franey; and his grandson Nicholas Eastman. He is survived by: his wife Dottie M. Franey of Cotuit; his children, Robert J Franey (Amy) of West Barnstable, Patrick M. Franey (Pamela) of Middleboro, Erin P. Eastman (William) of West Barnstable and Kathleen M. Franey-Stewart (William) of Marstons Mills; his siblings, Richard Franey of Abington, Michael Franey of Abington, Jack Franey of Carver, Joseph Franey of Abington, Mary Ellen Aia of Bridgewater and Leanne Bombardier of East Bridgewater; and his grandchildren, John, Ryan, Luke, Sarah, Brenden, Liam and Michael of Robert.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman Funerals & Cremations - John-Lawrence Chapel (3778 Falmouth Rd, Marstons Mills, MA 02648). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Church (5 Job's Fishing Rd, Mashpee, MA 02649).
