He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Cleveland and Gladys Morgan Cleveland; his son Charles R. Cleveland, Jr.; his grandson Christian Vonberg; and his siblings, Phyllis Goerlack, Lynn Daughton and Richard Cleveland.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley E. Wagner; his children, John Cleveland (Lauri Yearick) and Mary Cleveland; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Casey and Kylee; and his siblings, Lauralee Cunningham, Grover Cleveland and Gladys Peck. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home.
