With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David A. Walak of Dalton, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 19, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his father Andrew Walak. He is survived by: his mother Daisy Walak (Koczela) of Cheshire; his wife Pamela Walak of Dalton; his children, Brian Walak of Dalton and Amanda Walak of Holyoke; his grandsons, Gilbert Walak and Ethan Milette; and his siblings, Peter Walak of Cheshire, Steven Walak of Natick and Beverly Caravaty of Schenectady, NY.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David's name to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, in care of Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main Street, Dalton, MA 01226.
