He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lyman Sedgwick, Sr. and Agnes Marion Gaudette; his brothers, Richard Lyman Sedgwick, Jr. and Robert John Sedgwick; his son Kevin Thomas Sedgwick; and his great grandchild Keegan Thomas Chupp.

He is survived by: his wife Victoria Sedgwick (Sylvia); his daughter Karen Dalzell (Ted); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Chupp (Ryan), Mary Ellen Brewster (Banks), Abigail Elpers (Jason), Brett Dalzell (Laura) and Ashley Pope (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Piper, Paisley Chupp, Matthew, Anderson, Elizabeth Brewster, Nolan, Levi, Beckett, Bryce Elpers, Benjamin and Ryan Pope; and his brother Merwin Charles Sedgwick (Ann).
